In February 2024, to meet the growing demand from China’s elevator production, old elevator renovation, and overseas after-sales markets, SDYSS Elevator officially completed the factory expansion project at its production base in Kunshan, Jiangsu. This expansion not only added 2,000 square meters of intelligent warehousing space but also upgraded its supply chain system, expanding the range of elevator spare parts in stock to over 9,000 types. These parts cover full-category components from core parts (such as traction machines, light curtains, and door operator assemblies) to wearing parts (including control systems and safety gears). Meanwhile, SDYSS launched a “Real-Time Inventory & Price Inquiry System,” providing customers with “instant check, quick response” spare parts supply services and further strengthening its supply chain competitiveness.
The factory expansion focused on two cores: “intelligent warehousing + diversified inventory.” The new warehousing area adopts a “stereoscopic shelves + intelligent sorting system” design, equipped with barcode scanning devices and inventory management software, enabling full-process digital management of parts storage, retrieval, and stocktaking. Staff can view real-time inventory quantity, storage location, and batch information of each part through the system; inventory data is automatically updated every hour with an accuracy rate of 99.8%. Catering to different customer needs, the stocked parts cover three series (commercial elevators, home elevators, and medical elevators), including both dedicated parts for SDYSS’s own elevators and compatible parts for mainstream brands like Mitsubishi and Otis. This meets the needs of bulk procurement by elevator manufacturers, emergency parts replenishment by maintenance companies, and customized parts for renovation projects.
To address the pain points of “untransparent inventory and delayed price inquiry” in traditional spare parts procurement, SDYSS launched two types of inquiry services simultaneously: First, it opened an “online inquiry platform” for long-term cooperative customers. After logging in with an exclusive account, customers can enter part models or names to check real-time inventory and latest quotations, and generate purchase lists with one click. Second, for occasional customers or urgent needs, it set up a 24-hour spare parts consultation hotline. Customer service staff can instantly feedback inventory and price information through the backend inventory system, with an average response time of no more than 5 minutes. In addition, for regular parts with sufficient inventory, SDYSS promises to ship to domestic customers within 48 hours of order placement, and urgent parts can be delivered “next day” via expedited logistics, significantly shortening the customer waiting cycle.
According to statistics from SDYSS’s supply chain department, after the factory expansion and inventory upgrade, the efficiency of parts order processing has increased by 35%, and the order cancellation rate due to “insufficient inventory” has dropped to below 1.2%. The person in charge of a local elevator maintenance company in Jiangsu said: “Previously, it took 1-2 weeks to purchase niche parts. Now, checking SDYSS’s inventory, most parts are in stock with transparent prices—we no longer panic about urgent orders.” The head of SDYSS Inventory Management stated that the company will dynamically adjust the inventory structure based on market demand, aiming to increase the inventory turnover rate of high-demand parts by another 20% by the end of 2024 and continuously optimize the customer procurement experience.
